Salar de Uyuni: From La Paz | 1 day and 1 night

Discover the immensity of the Salar de Uyuni, a place where tranquility and beauty come together in perfect harmony.
The day before your departure, you will be picked up from your hotel in downtown La Paz. The bus to Uyuni will leave around 8:00 p.m. and will arrive at approximately 5:00 a.m. the following day, where our operator will be waiting for you to give you all the necessary indications for the tour. Afterwards, you will enjoy breakfast (cost to be paid by the passenger). The adventure will begin with a visit to the Salar de Uyuni, including a stop at the train cemetery, an open-air museum that exhibits locomotives that once gave life to the town of Uyuni, located about 1 km from the city.

We will continue to the town of Colchani, where salt is mined. Here we will visit a salt refining micro-factory, where you will see mounds and blocks of salt. You will also have the opportunity to explore the local market, where you will find handicrafts made of salt, as well as llama or alpaca fiber textiles. Afterwards, you will enjoy a delicious lunch on Incahuasi Island, an incredible place in the middle of the vast salt flat, populated by giant cacti that are over 100 years old. After lunch, you will have time to explore the island and capture spectacular photographs from its summit, with 360-degree panoramic views.

Continuing the tour through the salt flat, we will arrive at the isolated area of Atulcha, which looks like a large island. There you will find a small and famous hotel built with salt blocks, as well as furniture also made of this material. We will return to Uyuni, where you will have the rest of the afternoon free until the designated time to board the bus back to La Paz.
