Day 01: Arrive at Paro. Overnight in Thimphu.
Once you arrive at the Paro International Airport, you will be greeted by our English speaking guide and drive to Thimphu, the capital city. It is one and half hour drive.
On the way visit Tamchog Lhakhang, which is located on the ridge with beautiful view. After reaching Thimphu, checkin to hotel. After lunch, visit National Memorial Chorten where we see elderly people pray and circumambulate the stupa. Later visit Authentic Craft Bazaar. This is the craft market located at the center of Thimphu. Here you can get authentic Bhutanese
arts and crafts handmade locally.
Later visit archery ground to see people playing traditional archery and stroll around the downtown
Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 02: Thimphu. Sightseeing in Thimphu.
After breakfast, visit Kuensel Phodrang where big buddha statue is built; Paper Factory where you will see how Bhutanese traditional handmade paper is made; Motithang Takin Preserve also known as the Mini Zoo where you will see Bhutan’s typical national animal; Hike to Wangditse Lhakhang. It is about 30 minutes easy hike. You will get the beautiful view of the Thimphu valley and Tashichodzong. Later visit Tashichodzong The original Thimphu Dzong (the Dho-Ngyen Dzong) is said to have been constructed in 1216 by Lama Gyalwa Lhanangpa. And later the Dzong was conquered by Shabdrung Ngawang
Namgyal, who found the Dzong to be too small and expanded it to what is now known as
theTashichho dzong is also called the "fortress of glorious religion." It was erected in 1641 and
was subsequently rebuilt by King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck in the 1960s. Now it houses the
secretariat building, the throne room and the office of the King and central monk body.
Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 03: Thimphu – Gangtey/Phobjikha.
Drive to Gangtey which is around 3 – 4 hours. On the way stop over the Dochu-La pass (3,100 meters), which on a clear day offers an incredible view of Himalayan peaks snowclad mountains from the pass. The beauty of this place is further enhanced by the Druk Wangyel Chorten – 108 stupas. Drive further to Phobjikha Valley via Punakha/Wangdue.
On arrival in Gangtey, ike across Gangtey Nature Trail which is one and half hour and enjoy the breathtaking view of Phobjikha valley. Phobjikha valley is also the winter home of Black Necked Cranes that migrate from the arid plains in the north (Tibetan plateau) to pass their winter in the milder and the lower climate. Phobjikha is one of Bhutan’s few glacial valleys and offers incredible scene.
Overnight in Gangtey.

Day 04: Gangtey/Phobjikha
Explore Phobjikha Valley. visit villages and communities to see their work of life. Visit remote temples. Have Picnic Lunch in the valley.
After picnic lunch, visit Gangtey Gompa dating back to the 17th century,
and crane information center The Royal Society for Protection of Nature, also known as The Crane Centre, displays material
on the cranes and their environment, as well as guiding conservation awareness operations on
this threatened bird.

Day 05: Gangtey - Punakha Overnight in Punakha.
After breakfast drive to Punakha visit Chimi Lhakhang, temple of Fertility blessed by Lam Drukpa Kuenley, who is known as the Divine Madman for his eccentric behaviours. He is also considered a symbol of fertility and many childless couples go to his temple for blessing. Then visit Punakha Dzong one of the majestic fortresses which is located between Pho Chu (Male River) and Mo Chu (Female River). Punakha was the ancient capital of Bhutan.
Later suspension bridge.

Day 06: Punakha – Paro. Overnight in Paro.
After breakfast 45 minutes hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyel chorten with the picturesque view of the rice terraces along the river. Later drive back to Paro. After lunch visit Paro Dzong and the valley. Later stroll around Paro downtown.
Overnight in Paro.

Day 07: Paro. Hike to Tiger’s Nest.
After breakfast hike to Taktsang Monastery, the wooden structure stands bravely on a cliff in the upper Paro Valley. The walk of approximately 2 to 2.5 hours one way. It is said that the great Guru Rinpoche have flown here on the back of a tigress and set up this monastery when he brought the teachings of the Buddhist Dharma to Bhutan in the 8th Century.
Later in the evening visit Farmhouse to experience traditional Bhutan to taste Bhutanese cuisine and dip into Traditional hot stone bath. And also practice archery.
Overnight in Paro.

Day 08: Depart from Paro Airport.
In the morning drive to the Airport for flight to your onward destination.

As part of the Bhutan Visa application process, you will be required to pay the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) of US$200 per day (per adult; concessionary rates apply for children). The SDF is charged in addition to tour costs. Visa cost $40 one time.
