Day 1: Addis Ababa - Menagesha Suba Forest
After being picked up from your hotel in Addis Ababa, drive 22 kilometers from the capital to the Menagesha Suba Forest. Check in to your accommodation and take a coffee before heading to the forest.
Discover the magnificent natural forest that is situated nearby to the capital. The forest incorporates some indigenous forest along with exotic plantation, at the attitudes ranging from 2,300 to 3,000 meters on the southern and western slopes of Mount Wechecha.
Dominated by tall juniper, hagenia, and podocarps trees, it is the most substantial remaining patch of indigenous forest in the vicinity of Addis Ababa. The forest is inhabited by various large mammals and birds, and is home to a lovely waterfall.
Enjoy a bush lunch at the heart of the natural forest before driving back to the capital for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Addis Ababa - Debre Libanos Monastery
After an early breakfast, head to the Debre Libanos Monastery, which is located on the northwest of Addis Ababa. The monastery was founded in the 13th century by Saint Tekle Haymanot, who meditated in a cave for 29 years.
The monastery complex sits on a terrace between a cliff and the gorge of one of the tributaries of the Abbay River. The cave where the saint lived is in the nearby cliffs, which contains a spring, whose water is considered holy and is the object of pilgrimages.
Visit the Portuguese Bridge, which was erected by the Portuguese in the 16th century. It was actually built at the turn of the 19th century by Ethiopians, albeit in the old Portuguese style.

Day 3: Addis Ababa - Wenchi Crater Lake
After breakfast, head to the Wenchi Crater Lake, a picturesque lake situated at the distance of about 32 kilometers to the south-west of Ambo on the road to Woliso.
The touristic appeal of the crater mainly stems from its fantastic beauty. Standing on the rim of the crater, watch the unique shaped and crystal clear water lying in a deep basin and circular slopes covered with greenery alpine vegetation that largely contributed to its dramatic scenery.
Late afternoon, continue driving back to Addis Ababa. Finally, depending on your interests, be taken to a traditional Ethiopian restaurant for a new experience before being transferred to the airport.
