2-Day Dadong Tour Including Tickets

Day 1,
You'll be picked up from your hotel in downtown Datong at 8:30 a.m. and board a private vehicle for your guided day trip to the Yungang Grottoes, located about 28 miles from downtown Datong. There are more than 240 caves dating back to the 14th century and containing thousands of hand-carved Buddha statues.

Then visit the Nine Dragons Screen, the largest screen in China, even larger than the one at the Forbidden City in Beijing. Then enjoy lunch at an authentic Chinese restaurant at before returning to your hotel.



Day 2
In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to the Hanging Temple, a so-called “temple in mid-air” built around the 6th century AD. The Hanging Temple, known as the “temple in mid-air”, was built in the 5th century AD as a “flying” structure on a cliff face. The Hanging Temple has become a place where the three religions of Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism are united before enjoying lunch at an authentic local restaurant at your own expense.

Then proceed to the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda, the oldest and largest wooden structure pagoda in China. At 70 meters high, it is the only large wooden pagoda in China.
