Enjoy the beautiful view of the Debed River canyon. Also, marvel at the Cathedral of Surb Nshan with its beautiful fresco depicting Christ the Almighty.

Monastery of Sanahin. In the Middle Ages, it was famous for its calligraphy school. Within the monastery grounds, you will find Armenian khachkars from the 11th to 13th centuries. By the way, both Akhtpat and Sanahin were important educational centers in the region during the Middle Ages.
