Start your tour at Sapporo Station, in front of the circular white stone structure. Meet your guide and head to the Butsugan-ji Temple in the south district of Sapporo. Admire the 45-meter-long Buddha Nirvana statue resting on the roof of the Great Nirvana Temple Hall.
Next, travel by bus to the Hill of the Buddha. Walk through an arched concrete tunnel to reach the 13.5-meter-tall Buddha statue encircled by a rotunda. Admire the serene impression of the Buddha as light streams in through the circular opening of the rotunda.
Besides the Buddha, see the giant Moai statues and a replica of Stonehenge in the sacred cemetery. Return to central Sapporo and visit the Sapporo TV Tower. Head up to the top observation deck to enjoy spectacular 360-degree views of the city.
