Description

Ride a train up to the Jungfraujoch and take in panoramic views of the Swiss Alps. Walk through the heart of a glacier and learn the history of the miners and railway builders.
Depart from Geneva and begin your day trip to the Swiss Alps. At Interlaken, board the train from Lauterbrunnen that will bring you up to Europe’s highest station at Jungfraujoch. At an altitude of 3,454 meters (11,332 feet), enjoy spectacular views over the highest glacier on the continent.

When at the top, wander into the heart of the glacier as you walk through the ice tunnel and explore the “Alpine Sensation” - a 250-meter (820-foot) tunnel. Step onto a moving walkway that will transport you through an exhibition about the history of Jungfrau and the development of tourism in the Alps.

Venture out onto the Sphinx observation platform, that offers one of the best views of the surrounding mountain range. Spy some of the most famous peaks of Switzerland, such as Eiger and Mönch.

Once you are back at the feet of the mountains, enjoy some free time in Interlaken. Then board the bus that will take you back to your starting point, while marveling at the beautiful scenery along the way.
