Admire the beautiful landscape of Santiago on this guided walk. Hike up to Pico de Antónia, the highest mountain on the island, and then explore the unspoilt nature of Mount Tchota.
You'll start your tour with a pick-up from your hotel in Praia and then head to the village of Longueira and, take the chance to have direct contact with the local inhabitants.
Take the opportunity to visit the Grogue rum distillery. Next, we start climbing Pico de Antónia, the highest point on the island of Santiago. We start climbing the highest peak on the island of Santiago and enjoy panoramic views of the São Jorge Valley and the possibility of seeing Ilha do Maio and the volcano of Ilha do Fogo. It's a 5-hour climb in total, with a stop for a small picnic and spectacular views of beautiful landscapes, along the way, you can see endemic plants, animals and endangered birds. The hike ends in the Monte Tchota nature park
