Explore the Mekong Delta on a 3-day tour from Ho Chi Minh City. Visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda, the Cai Rang Floating Market, and the Sea's Lady Temple.
Day 1:
Start your tour with a pick-up from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and a smooth one and a half hour bus ride passing the green rice fields, leading you to the beautiful rural Mỹ Tho city. Arrive in Mỹ Tho and visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda, the largest pagoda in the Mekong Delta.
Continue to the motorized boat on the Tien river to visit the island. Arrive at Unicorn Island, visit the pomelo farm and the bee farm at the same time. Enjoy honey tea and royal jelly from the farm. After that, take an electric car ride on the village road to enjoy the atmosphere of the countryside.
Arrive at Xu Dua to listen to folk music in the Delta, the artist will use the traditional instruments and sing folk music, wearing “ao dai” – the traditional dress of Vietnam. Be served 5 different tropical fruits on the table while listening to music.
Back to the boat and head to Ben Tre province, the hometown of coconut in Vietnam, to visit a coconut candy factory. Enjoy a rowing boat ride through a canal covered with water coconut at 2 sides of the canal.
Have lunch at a local restaurant and then have free time to visit the village. Return to the boat and head to Cần Thơ City. Arrive in the city and check in at the hotel. Have dinner on a 5* cruise and then have free time to explore the city at night.
Day 2:
After breakfast, visit the Cái Răng floating market. During the boat trip, see how Vietnamese people live on the river and their normal activities. Learn how the local people sell stuff on a boat, it’s definitely different from selling at the market on land.
Head to Cà Mau City. Arrive in Sóc Trăng Province and visit Somrong Pagoda that has the longest Sleeping Buddha statue in Vietnam with the special architecture of Khmer people.
Continue to Bạc Liêu Province to visit Tắc Sậy Church and the tomb of Bíshop Trương Bửu Diệp. Arrive at Ánh Nguyệt restaurant to have lunch. Go to Mũi Cà Mau and go through the mangrove forest to see the beautiful ecosystem here.
Arrive at Mũi Cà Mau, the last point of Vietnam. Take a picture with the coordinate landmark – GPS 0001, the symbol of Mũi Cà Mau – a sailing boat heading to the sea, Âu Cơ Temple, and more. After that, return to the local restaurant for dinner, and then back to the hotel in Cà Mau City.
Day 3:
Have breakfast at the hotel and then head back to Bạc Liêu to visit the richest man’s house in Mekong Delta in the 20th century. Learn the story about him and understand why people in Mekong Delta call him “Công Tử Bạc Liêu”.
Visit The Sea’s Lady Temple to ask for happiness, wealth, and peace. Return to Sóc Trăng Province to visit a Pía factory since 1950. Pía is a very special cake that comes from this area.
Go to a local restaurant for lunch and then head back to Ho Chi Minh City. Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City and say goodbye to your guide.
