Explore the rural, coastal, and mountainous roads of Hue and Hoi An with a private car. Admire the breathtaking landscapes along the way and visit the Lap An Lagoon, the City of Ghosts, Lang Co Bay, the Hai Van Pass, the Marble Mountains, the Golden Bridge, and the Lady Buddha Statue.

Begin your tour with a pick-up from your hotel in Hue City or Hoi An City. Drive to the Lap An Lagoon, another part of Lang Co Bay, which is an 800-hectare brackish water lagoon and a favorite destination for tourists and photographers.

Continue to the City of Ghosts, a local cemetery with brilliantly colored structures built on the white sand. Stroll along the side of the road and take in the 3-kilometer stretch of the cemetery.

Next, visit Lang Co Bay, a famous beach of Thua Thien Hue province. Lang Co is a popular stop for tourists on the Hue to Da Nang route. Perfectly situated inside the zone of 3 world heritage conservation centers of Hue's ancient citadel, Hoi An town, and My Son Sanctuary.

Drive to the Hai Van Pass, an approximately 21-kilometer long mountain pass between Hue and Da Nang City. The pass is renowned for its scenic beauty. Presenter Jeremy Clarkson, host of the BBC motoring program Top Gear, featured the pass during the show’s 2008 Vietnam Special, calling the road “a deserted ribbon of perfection—one of the best coast roads in the world.”

Visit the Marble Mountains, a cluster of five hills made from limestone and marble. The Marble Mountains are a well-known pilgrimage site with peaks, caves, tunnels, and temples all just waiting to be discovered. Named after the elements metal, wood, water, fire, and earth, Marble Mountains is a beautiful place you should not miss on the trip from Hue to Hoi An.

Take a cable car to the summit of the mountain (at 1487 meters of sea level). Visit Ba Na Hill, which has many famous attractions: Golden Bridge, French Village, Le Jardin D’amour flower garden, Debay Wine Cellar, Linh Ung Pagoda, Fantasy Park, etc. Enjoy the fresh and clean air and admire these beautiful landscapes that are rarely found in other tourist places.

Finally, visit the Lady Buddha Statue at the Linh Ung Pagoda. There are 3 pagodas in Da Nang City with the same name as “Linh Ung” which means “wishes answered miraculously”. But only Linh Ung Bai But Pagoda Da Nang (which means Buddha’s Land in this world) has the tallest “Lady Buddha statue” in Vietnam. Get dropped off at your hotel in the city center of Hue or Hoi An at the end of your tour.
