On 16 March 1968, about 504 unarmed people were killed by U.S. Army soldiers. Victims included the old, women, children, and infants. Some of the women were gang-raped and their bodies mutilated, as were children as young as 12 years old.

Finally, visit Sa Huynh Beach, one of the great places to visit when visiting Quang Ngai province. The beach stretches for about 5km, embracing the mountains and forests of Quang Ngai.
