The BMW Group Plant in Oxford is one of the oldest and yet most advanced car plants in the UK. Up to 1,000 models roll off the production line every day at this site. As many as 4,500 employees work here to assemble the iconic British car. The first electric MINI is also produced at the plant in Oxford– yet another milestone for the historic site. Associates in Oxford are actively involved in sustainability. All suggestions for improvement are entered into an ideas database, which is also available to other production sites of the BMW Group.
Experience the most exciting elements of car production in around 100 minutes: from the so-called ‘body-in-white’ – the bodyshell – to the finished, personalised MINI. You will visit the state-of-the-art plant and see first-hand how thousands of parts come together to produce up to 1,000 MINIs every day. Please be aware that this is a walking tour and requires a level of mobility to fulfill the distance covered around the plant. Please contact us in advance if you have any health or mobility restrictions. You can indicate this in a comment field at the end of the booking process.
For a full tour experience visitors will receive audio guides with headphones. Wearing the headphones is mandatory. If you are unable to wear headphones for health reasons, please contact the booking centre before visiting the plant.
To enhance your full experience please arrive up to 30 mins early to enjoy our Museum where you can photograph our historical exhibits.

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
