The Wine Experience designed this tour specifically for Food & Wine Lovers, who will be staying in Colonia del Sacramento over the weekend. We are always looking for wineries off the beaten path and this one is special located about 45min outside Colonia. It also happens to be the oldest winery in Uruguay dating back to 1854 and founded by Germans.

This is very much like taking a time machine back to the 1920's, where you will get to experience a lot of history and culture. One of the highlights is visiting the cellar, where you will see the winemaking process including century old barrels. After your visit you will take a drive to the vintage tasting room, where there will be 3 courses served with wines. They offer a local countryside lunch with typical dishes from the Rio de la Plata. This is certainly one of the highlights Colonia del Sacramento has to offer. Let's start your weekend with a bang!
