Duration: 2 days

Description

Specially designed for travelers who are staying in Buenos Aires. A unique opportunity that you won't regret experimenting A 2-Day getaway to Uruguay, visiting Colonia del Sacramento and Montevideo.
Colonia del Sacramento and Montevideo.
The first was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1995, and the second is the capital of the country with an immense cultural heritage, the “Silver Cup” or the “Sleeping Beauty” of the Atlantic. On this private tour you will discover the charms of both.

Since this tour involves coordination with the ferry that makes the connection between the 2 countries and the hotel in Montevideo, what I suggest is that you contact me before booking to adjust all the details and then after purchasing the ferry tickets, we proceed with our Tour reservation.

The ferry leaves the port of Buenos Aires at 0830 hrs and arrives in Colonia del Sacramento at 0945 hrs.
I will be waiting for you at the exit of the port terminal when the ferry arrives and we will immediately begin our tour of the historic center of the city.
We will walk through its cobblestone streets and visit the historical places of interest as:
- Historic neighborhood
- Lighthouse
- San Francisco Convent
- Citadels Gate
- Suspiros Street
- San Francisco Convent
- Marina and Rambla
- And more…

After lunch, we will head to Montevideo.
Upon arrival, while we get to know the city, I will take you to a hotel in the Punta Carretas neighborhood to freshen up and leave your bags if you wish.
Then we will visit other points of interest in the area and you will have free time.

The next day early in the morning, at around 08:30 hrs I will pick you up at the hotel to do most of the tour of Montevideo.

Here I will show you the full city and the main highlights of it, but also we will go inside small neighborhoods with their own style and characteristics.
You wont only visit the “typical” picture place, you will really go “off the beaten track” to experience the local approach and everyday life.
At the end of the day, when crossing back to Buenos Aires, you can rest assured that you really got to know all Montevideo in a way nobody does.

Throughout the day we will visit the following places:

- the “Old City” with the Plaza Matriz, the Cathedral, the Cabildo, Plaza Zabala, Peatonal Sarandi, Mercado del Puerto, Plaza Independencia and the Government House, Artigas Mausoleum, etc.

- the “Rambla” (avenue along the shore, in other places is called “Malecon”) in this trip along the coast visiting various neighborhoods, parks, and beaches.
Parque Rodó, Punta Carretas, the Lighthouse, Villa Biarritz, Pocitos, Buceo, Malvin, Carrasco.

- the Parque Batlle and the Estadio Centenario, the Palacio Legislativo, and all the downtown area with the City Council Viewpoint

Also, depending on the day of the tour, we can visit street markets that are made in the different neighborhoods, or other kind of attractions like that.

At 1800 hrs I will take you to the ferry terminal at the port of Montevideo for your return to Buenos Aires. The ferry leaves at 1930 hrs and arrives at the port of Buenos Aires from which you left the day before at 2200 hrs.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
As in all our tours and destinations, I make the following observations:

This is your Tour, with your times and preferences, I am your guide to take you to the best places and advise you, but you are the ones who set the pace and what you prefer to dedicate more or less time to.
If you like to stop, we stop … if you want to continue, we continue.

I am not very strict or bureaucratic when it comes to the total duration of the ride and the return time, so you can enjoy yourself.

The vehicle to be used is licensed for 7 people, including the driver, and there are safety features for everyone.
The ideal number of adults in the group should be 4 of medium build so that they can travel in total comfort.
It is also possible to incorporate 2 children or teenagers if they are not large.
The clarification is because the 3rd row seat is smaller than the rest.
I will be waiting for you at the main entrance of the Colonia del Sacramento Ferry´s Port and when it arrives, we will immediately begin our tour of the city.

When should I book?

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
