Join a small-group tour of no more than 10 people. Start at the Lafayette cemetery, where you will learn about the unique funeral customs and traditions of New Orleans.
During the guided walk to the first restaurant stop, you will explore the architecture of the Garden District, home to historic mansions, colorful shotgun houses, and hauntingly beautiful oak trees. Then, check out local shops on Magazine Street. Visit three food stops that highlight Cajun and Creole flavors and history.
The first food stop is an indulgent taste of Gulf seafood, Creole fusion and the multicultural influences that shaped the 300-year-old city. Your second food stop focuses on the history of the Cajun people and the influence of their hunting and farming society on the food culture of Louisiana.
Along the way, visit locally-owned shops and an art gallery before finishing on a sweet note at the dessert stop. Try their specialty, filled beignets and cafe au lait.
The first two food stops include either a choice from a menu of craft beers from local breweries or house cocktails, often made with locally-distilled spirits. Non-alcoholic drinks are also available. Vegetarians, dietary restrictions, and allergies can be accommodated. You'll also get plenty of recommendations for local fun on your trip.
