The Museum also features the world’s only Tyrannosaurus rex growth series. Get a behind-the-scenes look at how scientists work on fossils in the Dino Lab and watch as dinosaurs come to life in the Dinosaur Encounters show. Learn how Los Angeles came to be in the Becoming Los Angeles exhibit.
Discover nature on a stroll through 3.5 acres of the Nature Gardens to find hidden secrets and the wildlife space attracts. Learn more about local plants and animals in the Nature Lab. See 240 specimens in the Age of Mammals, including skeletons from mastodons to whales, and animal dioramas from North America and Africa and more. The Gem and Mineral Hall houses over 2,000 spectacular specimens, and in the vault, you can see diamonds, rubies, sapphires, and other exquisite gems.

Opening hours are from 9:30 AM-5:00 PM (subject to change)
Parking is available on site for an additional fee. Alternatively, the Expo Park Metro line is just steps away
By purchasing a ticket and visiting the museum, all guests agree to the Natural History Museum's COVID safety guidelines and protocols
Enter with your ticket at any of the two museum entrances. Go directly to the staff member at the bridge or skip the line through the eTicket entry at the top of the steps.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
