Fly to Denver and embark on a 7-day road trip to explore Colorado's national parks. Visit Estes Park, Rocky Mountain National Park, Steamboat Springs, Montrose, and the Great Sand Dunes National Park.
Day 1: Fly to Denver and drive to Estes Park. Stay in or near Estes Park for 2 nights.
Day 2: Visit Rocky Mountain National Park. Drive to Bear Lake TH and hike to Emerald Lake.
Day 3: Drive Trail Ridge Road with a timed entry pass. Stop at various overlooks and visit Tundra Trailhead. Continue on Trail Ridge Road to Grand Lake. Continue to Hot Sulphur Springs and take a dip. Continue to Steamboat Springs and stay for 2 nights.
Day 4: Spend a down day at Strawberry Park Natural Hot Springs.
Day 5: Drive to Montrose and visit Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. Stay in Montrose for 1 night.
Day 6: Drive to Great Sand Dunes National Park. Stay at the Great Sand Dunes Lodge for 1 night.
Day 7: Drive to Cave of the Winds Mountain Park. If time allows, visit the park; otherwise, drive straight to Denver Airport.
