Head to the Clear Creek in Denver and prove your skills on an advanced level whitewater rafting adventure. Go through a safety talk with your guides before setting off into the beautiful canyon. Crash through Double Knife and the Terminator and discover the relics of the gold rush.
Make your way to the rafting center and meet your awesome crew for the day. Enjoy a short safety briefing and study the route you'll be taking down the lower Clear Creek rapids before getting geared up and into the water.
Start out paddling through this 10-mile stretch of raging water, one of the most demanding in the country at high flows and still fast-paced and challenging at lower flows. Feel the adrenaline pumping through your body as you battle the class IV-V rapids.
Travel past the remains of the historic gold rush in Argo Mill, which used to have the longest tunnel in the world, and keep an eye out for wildlife in the backdrop of the breathtaking Rocky Mountains.

Between May and August this is an intermediate course due to its reduced water flow and during June and July it becomes an advanced course (Class IV - Class V)
Participants must be strong swimmers and be used to physical activity
The tour operates rain or shine
Participants 18 years or older are required to sign their own waivers and minors will need to have a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian
Meet at Downstream Adventures Rafting, 409 Park Ave, Empire, CO 80438, USA. Traveling east or west on I-70, take exit 232 and follow US-40 West to the town of Empire. The local partner is located in the second building on your right as you enter town. Map services such as Google Maps may recommend that you use the address: 409 Park Avenue, Idaho Springs, CO. Please note that I-70 can have heavy traffic, so it is best to check travel conditions when planning your drive.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
