This Pirate themed scavenger hunt is the first self guided experience in Charleston to replay the very real Pirate Siege of Charles Towne in May of 1718 designed by two local historians.
Guest will have free entrance to the oldest public building in South Carolina as part of the Scavenger Hunt to start the experience! From there guests will find as part of the tour several other historic locations and items to complete the "escape." This experience covers about a mile and a half of the most historic district in Charleston.
This pirate themed experience is based on the very real Pirate Siege of Charles Town in 1718. As such you will need to find your way out of the city following the instructions on the packet provided. Finish the experience in the recommend time and you will have escape a terrible fate as a pirate.
Historical accuracy was paramount in the sites designated as part of the experience and packet instructions and information has been vetted by two local historians and the director of the Powder Magazine.

Guest must show a valid booking per the allocated timeframe to receive the instruction packet at the starting location. You will show the host staff at the Powder Magazine a valid booking voucher and can the start the tour.
Go to the corner of Cumberland and Church street and head west on Cumberland until you reach the Powder Magazine at 79 Cumberland Street. There will be a structure will red tile roof with cannons out front. The closest public parking garage is directly across the street "Cumberland Garage."
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
Cancellation is not possible. If you cancel it anyway or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity and the money you paid will not be refunded.
