Windsor Castle is a working royal palace and planned closures or disruptions may be subject to change.
St. George’s Chapel is usually closed to visitors on Sundays as services are held throughout the day. Worshippers are welcome to attend the services.
When Windsor Castle’s State Apartments are closed, the Precincts, Drawings Gallery and Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House will remain open.
Due to on-going roadworks between Gloucester Road and Victoria, your tour will end within a 3 minute walk to Gloucester Road Underground Station. This station is in Zone 1 and is three stops Eastbound on the Circle Line or the District Line to Victoria. The Piccadilly Line also runs through Gloucester Road and is 5 stops to Piccadilly Circus.
Windsor Castle closed on Every Tuesday and Wednesday, 16th & 17th June 2024, and 24th to 26th December 2024.
