This tour gives you a day in the Lake District National Park, from Manchester. It’s an ideal way to see the spectacular landscape that makes the National Park so special.
Leaving Manchester, the tour heads North via the M6 Motorway, in approximately two hours you will arrive in the Lake District.
As you start your Lake District tour, you'll enjoy a heritage steam railway ride from Haverthwaite to Lakeside (1st April - 29th October only) followed by a lake cruise. You can sit back and enjoy the unrivalled views of the lake and the fells beyond!
With stops at Wray Castle and Tarn Hows you’ll have ample opportunity to take wonderful pictures and take in the beautiful views.
You’ll visit the mediaeval village of Hawkshead, famous for its connection with Beatrix Potter and William Wordsworth. As your Lake District tour comes to an end, we will then continue our journey back to Manchester.

• Due to COVID-19 measures, the itinerary includes the Langdale Valley, Blea Tarn, Coniston, Tarn Hows, and Hawkshead
• Children must be over 5 years to join a tour and have their own seat
• All passengers must have their own seat
• There is space onboard for hand luggage. For anything larger, there is luggage storage at Manchester Piccadilly (Platform 10)
• Lunch is not included, however there will be a stop in Hawkshead with many options available
• Please note the steam train is only include from April - October

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
