Description
Discover places that you thought only existed in song, including Penny Lane and many more living landmarks in Liverpool. After the private tour, you can carry on backward down memory lane.
This tour will take place in the luxury of a private vehicle by an experienced passionate guide. We begin on Liverpool's iconic waterfront collecting you from any city centre location of choice including the cruise terminal.
We travel in a Mercedes V class six-seater vehicle with your private group of up to 6 for a fab four-hour long tour, a sentimental soundtrack plays along the way and a full-color guidebook is yours to view and keep along with a USB of my soundtrack.
We start with an introduction to our City where you will hear about Liverpool's countless firsts in the fields of commerce, culture, creation, and of course music. We hear about Liverpool at war, Black History, and more. First, we visit Beatle Village the area around the world-famous Cavern Club for a short walking tour. Then we journey through the City and suburbs experiencing Liverpool's amazing architecture and open green spaces.
The first stop is Penny Lane for that "must do" photo opportunity. Next, as we pass through Ringo land where Ringo was born then the birthplace of George Harrison we journey on to Strawberry Field visitor center for more iconic photo opportunities, the gift shop, and Cafe.
Then it's to St Peters church where on July 6 1957 Paul McCartney and John Lennon first met. Here we see the tombstone of Eleanor Rigby (yes she did exist). Over now to the Beatle boyhood homes of John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Then we journey back to the city center discovering en route how we believe Paul Mc Cartney wrote Penny Lane passing by the lane itself, the bank, the fire station, the shelter in the middle of the roundabout, and of course the Barber.
