Description

Walk in the footsteps of your favourite Outlander stars! This one-day tour takes you to many of the show's most iconic filming locations, perfect for fans with limited time who want to see it all.
Your Outlander adventure begins at 8:45 AM, where we meet across the road from Costa Coffee on George Square, Glasgow. From here, we make our way to Dalmeny train station to collect any Edinburgh guests, if needed, before embarking on our journey to some of the most iconic Outlander filming locations.

Our first stop is the striking Blackness Castle, known as Fort William in the series. Entrance fees are not included, but once inside, your guide will provide a 15-minute presentation to introduce you to the site’s fascinating history and Outlander connections. Afterward, you’ll have some free time to explore the castle grounds at your own pace. We stay here for about an hour, giving you ample time to take in the stunning scenery and capture some memorable photos.

Next, we head to Midhope Castle, recognisable as Lallybroch. You’ll have 30 minutes to explore this iconic location, immersing yourself in the world of Jamie Fraser. Please note, Midhope Castle is closed from November 2024 to March 2025.

Afterward, we journey to the picturesque village of Falkland, which stood in as 1940s Inverness. Here, we allow 1 hour for a short guided tour of the village, followed by free time to wander the charming streets, enjoy a meal at one of the local cafés, or browse the gift shops. This stop offers the perfect balance of history, Outlander magic, and relaxation.

We then make our way to the majestic Doune Castle, also known as Castle Leoch in Outlander. Upon arrival, your guide will provide a 15-minute presentation to introduce you to the castle’s significance, both in history and in film. You’ll then have the chance to explore the castle using the included audio guide. We’ll spend 1 hour here, giving you plenty of time to discover every corner of this impressive fortress.

Our final stop takes us to the charming village of Culross, the setting for the fictional Cranesmuir, where Geillis Duncan lived. Your guide will lead a 30-minute walking tour through the village, highlighting the key filming spots and sharing fascinating details about its role in the show.

After Culross, we return to Dalmeny station to drop off Edinburgh guests, if necessary, before heading back to Glasgow. We aim to arrive between 6:00 and 7:00 PM, depending on traffic, bringing your day of Outlander discovery to a close.
