Description

Immerse yourself in Uganda’s pristine and wildlife-filled natural landscapes during this multi-day private tour to Murchison falls, host to over 76 mammal species, 420 bird species and the water falls
This two-day Murchison Falls safari takes you northwest of Uganda for a fantastic wildlife safari in Uganda’s biggest, oldest, and most visited national park: Murchison Falls National Park. The park is popularly known for and was named after the breathtaking Murchison Falls, which is a major highlight of the safari.

The falls, also called Kabalega or Kabarega in the local dialect, is one of the greatest falls in Africa. It is located along the River Nile 20 miles (32 km) east of Lake Albert. The Nile passes through many miles of rapids before narrowing to a width of about 20 feet (6 meters) and dropping about 400 feet (120 metres) in a series of three cascades. The initial fall of 130 feet (40 metres) is generally recognized as Murchison Falls. The best way to get a close-up view is to embark on a boat cruise which will take you to the base of the falls. En route, watch out for the various animals like crocodiles and hippos in the waters and along the shores. (You have never seen more hippos yawning, Grooming in their Pods anywhere else than here- Believe me you)!

The scenic view from the top of the falls is an adventure in itself and one of the most enjoyable experiences of the safari.

The Falls are just one part of the 384,000-hectare Murchison Falls National Park (MFNP). You will have a game drive around the Savannah plains to look out for the park’s game such as lions, leopards, hyenas, elephants, various kinds of antelopes, endangered Rothschild giraffes and many more. The park is host to over 76 mammal species and 420 bird species.
