Description

This 5-day Uganda Tour takes you to Bwindi National Park for a Mountain Gorilla Trek, Lake Bunyony, and Later to Queen Elizabeth National Park Big Four Game-wildlife safari.
Travel Plan:
Day 1 - Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You will be picked up around 7:00 am from your Hotel in Kampala (or Entebbe) by our Guide who will brief you about your tour. You will later be driven in a comfortable and secure touring vehicle to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the South-West which will take around 9 hours of drive. Lunch will be provided en route at Mbarara. You will be arriving in the evening at the accommodation in Bwindi.

Day 2 - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Gorilla Trekking) to Lake Bunyonyi
You will have an early morning breakfast at 6:30 am and with packed Lunch you will move to the Park headquarters to join other trackers in a briefing about the gorilla trekking rules at 7:30 am. You will trek through thick creepers and undergrowth with your guides to find the Gorillas, which can take you 1-8 hours. The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access by tourists. You will stay with Gorillas sometime once sited and later transferred to Lake Bunyonyi.

The drive will be in the beautiful part of the country often referred to as ‘the Switzerland of Africa’ because of its unique cool weather despite being near the Equator. This lake is said to be one of the most beautiful places in western Uganda. It is the second deepest lake in Africa (900 meters deep) and also one of the few places in the country where it is considered safe to swim as it is bilharzia-free.

Day 3 - Lake Bunyonyi to Queen Elizabeth National Park (Game drive)
After your breakfast, you will set off for Ishasha Sector. You will reach in the afternoon check in to your Lodge have lunch and some rest for the sun to go down.
Post Lunch, you will be taken for an evening game drive in the Ishasha sector. After the drive, you will return to the Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4 - Game Drives in Queen Elizabeth National Park and Boat Ride in Kazinga Channel.
Game drive in the morning and in the afternoon you will take a Boat Cruise along the amazing Kazinga channel to see, at close range, the water animals including Hippos, Buffalos, Crocodiles, and elephants bathing on the channel banks. There is also a variety of bird species on the water banks, especially the famous Shoebill, pelican, and Jacana

Day 5 - Queen Elizabeth National Park to Kampala
The final day of your adventure in Uganda will begin at 6:30 AM. Heading out for a short game drive after breakfast, you will continue driving toward Entebbe/ Kampala. In the course of the drive, you will be passing through Lake Mburo National Park which offers a great opportunity to sight zebras, Impalas, and Uganda Kobs. The last stop will be Kampala (or Entebbe) and this is where you bid your farewell.

All travelers going on this trip will need to buy a gorilla permit at least 5 months before the travel date, and a gorilla trekking costs $800 per person and is not included in the prices.

Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
