COOKING CLASS TOUR KAMPALA. Prepare a traditional Ugandan meal from start to finish on your cooking class tour. This is a hands on activity,get into shopping from the market,peeling,preparing,dinning.
Meet the guide at Gaddafi National mosque.Walk to Owino market to buy the local food like Matooke,pumpkin,cassava,greens,yams,banana leaves and fibres, groundnuts and fruits for making juice.
Take an Uber from the market to home for preparations.
Get into the kitchen and start peeling matooke and cassava.(Optional to engage in peeling).But it's fun to also try the peeling activity.
Observe as the guide is preparing the food in the saucepan to be put on the charcoal stove.
Observe how the ground nuts or other type of sauce is prepared to be put on the other charcoal stove.They should be ready at the same time.
Start preparing fresh passion juice or any other fresh fruit juice as food is boiling.
Play some local games as you are waiting for food to get ready. You can as well share experiences of the food tours you have had in other countries.
Start preparing the dinning area as food is getting ready.The dinning area is always a traditional dinning and not the modern one.
We end our cooking class with eating the food we have prepared.
