Description

Your safari will take you to Kibale Forest National Park, the primate capital of the world located in Uganda where you will participate in chimpanzee tracking and undertake community experience.
DAY 01: PICK-UP AND TRANSFER TO KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK- APP. 6-7 HOURS DRIVE.

After breakfast, you will have a short briefing from your guide about the safari if you didn’t have it the previous day. You will then depart for your scenic drive to the South-western part of the country.
You will come across fruit markets, scenery of different topographies and diverse cultures along your journey. You will arrive in Fort Portal, dubbed “the tourism city” for hot lunch. Your lunch will be followed by a short drive to Kibale Forest National Park, arriving for afternoon relaxation and overnight.

DAY 02: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING AND BIGODI SWAMP WALK- KIBALE FOREST NP. CHIMPANZEE TRACKING TAKES ABOUT 3 HRS

After your early morning breakfast, you will drive to Kanyanchu Park headquarters in time for briefing. After briefing about the activity, you will be assigned a particular tracking group and game ranger. Shortly, you will enter the jungle with your ranger who will keep in touch with the monitoring team on ground to easily locate the chimpanzees. Also keep your head out for beautiful forest birds and other forest species. Upon finding the chimpanzees, you will be given ample time to interact depending on their mood as the guide explains to you about their behaviour and that of the entire forest ecosystem. Later, you will drive back to the lodge for lunch and prepare for the Bigodi swamp walk and community experience. Among the activities to excite you here include local liquor making, weaving of baskets, cultural dances, and also paying a visit to the cultural doctor. You will drive back to the lodge for an evening relaxation and overnight.

DAY 03: TRANSFER TO KAMPALA-APP. 6-7 HRS DRIVE
After breakfast at leisure, you will checkout and transfer back to Kampala. You will drive through Fort Portal town as you embark on your journey to Kampala or Entebbe for your safe flight back home. Lunch will be in Kampala before drop off to your hotel or Entebbe for your flight back home.
End of service.
Overnight: Fly-out

Booking and payment: By making a reservation, you agree to pay a deposit of 30% of total cost or full amount to secure your reservation.
Full payment is due 10 days prior to the start of the trip day.
Payments can be made using a credit bank or bank transfer.

Cancellation and Refund Policy: In the event that a Company Cancels a Tour, a full refund will be provided.
Cancellations made 5 days prior to departure are subject to cancellation fee which is the initial deposit of 20%.
No refunds will be provided for cancellations made within 72 hours to start of the tour.
Refunds will be processed within 15 days after approval.

Travel Documents: It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure all necessary travel documents such as passport are valid and obtained in advance.
The company shall not be responsible for any traveler’s inability to obtain required travel documents.
Travel insurance is highly recommended and can be purchased independently.

Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
