Discover the Asian side of Istanbul on this guided walking tour by crossing over to the trendy Kadıköy district with an intercontinental ferry ride.
Meet your group and tour guide in front of the famous Spice Bazaar (Egyptian Bazaar) located in Eminönü and get ready for your tour. You will walk together to the ferry station and your guide will pay your ferry ticket to go to the Asian side.
On your way to Kadıköy, you will enjoy the most stunning Istanbul historical peninsula view from the sea and take amazing pictures of the Galata Bridge, Golden Horn, Galata Tower, Galata Port, Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Maiden's Tower.
After a 20 mins intercontinental ferry ride, you will set foot on the Asian side central district Kadıköy. You will explore the famous local food market of Kadıköy, learn about Turkish entertainment and food culture, explore backstreets of a local residential neighborhood where you get to walk through thematic streets such as the Antiques Street, locally famous bar streets, pedestrian shopping avenue with the nostalgic tram line, colorful umbrella street and much more.

Notes:
- This tour includes a one-way ticket to the Asian side with the ferry, but not the return ticket. One-way ferry ticket to return currently costs 15 liras (less than 1 euro). Istanbulkart works on the ferry as well and costs the same as the tram or subway.
- Tour starts on the European side, and ends on the Asian side (Kadıköy). Your guide will explain to you how to go back. Ferries operate back to the European side until 1 am past midnight and there are also other public transport options such as the subway.
- Tour lasts 1,5 hrs. Ferry ride with boarding and docking lasts about 30 mins (20 mins on the sea). The walking Tour on the Asian side last 1 hour.

Meet your guide at the main entrance of the Spice Bazaar that is facing the Galata Bridge and Yeni Mosque. Find your guide with the red "Istanbul Welcome Card" flag. It is recommended to use public transportation to get to the point.
• From Taksim Square: Footpath 45 mins. You can also use or Funicular F1 from Tunnel Square at the end of Istiklal Street • From Sultanahmet: Tram T1 (15 min) and walk 5 mins from Eminönü tram station
• From Besiktas: Bus (10 min) to Kabataş and take tram to Eminönü (15 mins) and walk (5 mins) to Spice Bazaar (total 30-35 mins approx) • From Galataport: Walking (25-30 min)
• From Galata Tower: Walking (15-20 min)
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
