You will visit Goreme Esentepe (Panoramic View) to enjoy breathtaking views of the unique rock formations and fairy chimneys from this stunning viewpoint. In Pasabag - Monks Valley, you will explore the famous three-headed fairy chimneys, also known as Pasha’s Vineyard, and learn about the monks who once lived here in solitude. At Zelve Open Air Museum, you will walk through the ancient Y-shaped valley filled with cave dwellings, churches, and tunnels, offering a glimpse into the region's historical lifestyle.
Next, you will visit Devrent Valley, known for its animal-shaped rock formations, including a famous camel-shaped rock, creating a surreal landscape that feels like a natural sculpture garden. In Avanos, you will head to the charming town known for its pottery-making tradition dating back to 3000 BC. You will visit a traditional pottery workshop and watch artisans at work using clay from the Red River.
You will discover one of Cappadocia’s remarkable underground cities, used as hiding places during invasions. Here, you will explore the complex network of tunnels, rooms, and chambers that include living areas, kitchens, and wineries. In Cavusin Village, you will explore ancient cave houses carved into the rocky cliffs and visit the Church of John the Baptist, one of the oldest and most significant churches in the region.
Your trek will continue through the scenic Red and Rose Valley, famous for their stunning red and pink rock formations, offering beautiful landscapes and hidden cave churches. In Love Valley, you will see the unusual landscape filled with tall, phallic-shaped rock formations, often referred to as "fairy tale chimneys," known for its unique and romantic scenery. You will also view Uchisar Rock Castle from the outside, the highest point in Cappadocia, offering panoramic views of the region and Mount Erciyes. The castle is a massive rock formation with a labyrinth of rooms and tunnels inside. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant, offering a taste of traditional Turkish cuisine.
