Djerba: excursion KSAR GHILANE desert with a night in a tent

Departing from Djerba or Zarzis, discover the breathtaking desert landscapes of southern Tunisia, immerse yourself in Berber culture and spend a night under the beautiful stars in a desert camp
Day 1 :

Departure from your hotel in Djerba or Zarzis towards Tataouine by private vehicle.
En route, stop at the Chahbaniya salt lake to enjoy the panoramic view and take photos.
Continuation to the city center of Tataouine, free time and stroll to the souk
Then we arrive at Chenini and visit the village guided by a local village guide.

Lunch in a local restaurant offering traditional Tunisian dishes.
After lunch, departure towards the oasis of Ksar Ghilane crossing the desert landscapes.
Arrival at Ksar Ghilane and possibility of participating in an activity (optional and payable on site) such as a quad or camel ride in the dunes.
Free time to bathe in the hot thermal springs of Ksar Ghilane.
Head to the Zmela camp or similar to admire the sunset and watch a demonstration of the preparation of bread baked in the sand.
Installation in the camp tents to spend the night under the beautiful stars and the extraordinary silence of the desert
Day 2:

After breakfast at the camp, departure to the village of Matmata via the village of Tamezret to enjoy a panoramic view and take photos.

Arrival in Matmata and visit a troglodyte house to discover the way of life of the inhabitants.
Lunch with locals to taste the local cuisine.

After lunch, visit Sidi Idriss, the famous site used in the filming of Star Wars.
Then, departure towards Djerba or Zarzis with a stop in Toujane, a village offering a magnificent panoramic view.
Return to your hotel in Djerba or Zarzis late in the afternoon .
