Total immersion in the ancient world of a well-preserved medieval Arab city, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, heir to the glorious Carthage of which it was once a suburb, and a brilliant successor, Through its Zitouna mosque, considered the first university in the ancient world, where students flocked from all over North Africa, its lively and renowned souks made it a crossroads of trade routes, and with the first Arab dynasties, it was endowed with one of the most important arsenals of the caliphate.
With its capture by the Ottomans in the sixteenth century, it gave its name to the country and became a dreaded haven for pirates.
During a two-hour guided tour, we'll explore the history of this ancient city through its narrow streets steeped in history and its many monuments, with a tea tasting in the Medina's oldest café.
