Description
Explore the streets of Bangkok to discover its interesting street art and delicious street food. Visit a vibrant market, the trendy Charoenkrung Road, and an old colonial neighbourhood.
Head out to discover the delicious flavors of authentic Thai street food as you taste 9 different dishes during the tour. Explore different neighborhoods and admire both architecture and street art along the way. Visit the riverside Klong San Market and take some time to tour the many stalls in the bazaar.
Start your tour at 9 am by the Saphan Taksin Station. From there, head to a fresh market where you’ll sample roasted duck with rice at a famous local restaurant more than 100 years old. Walking along Charoenkrung Road, try beloved street food like Thai milk tea, mataba (stuffed pancakes), Thai BBQ snacks, fresh fruit, papaya salad, and sticky rice.
After stuffing yourself with delicious Thai goodies, explore the nearby side streets, weaving in between hidden Buddhist temples and small local communities. Admire some colorful Bangkok street art along the way.
Board a ferry across the river to visit Klong San Market. This riverside bazaar, more popular with the locals than with foreigners, is a great place to roam and explore. Browse the stalls looking for souvenirs, take photos of the colorful produce, or if you’ve still got some room, sample even more local eats per your guide’s recommendation.
After spending an hour at the Klong San Market, head back across the river and stop at a beautiful Catholic church, strolling through the old colonial neighborhood before trying yen ta fo. The latter is also known as pink noodle soup for the pinkish tinge the sauce lends the white noodles. You’ll end the tour at the Si Phraya Express Boat Pier, where you can snap postcard-perfect photos of the cityscape from across the river.
