Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park, also known as Jozani Forest, is Zanzibar's only national park and is home to a wide variety of plant and animal life. Despite its small size of 50 square km, the park features towering trees, mangrove areas, and the Medicine Jungle. The park is home to rare red colobus monkeys and the even more elusive Zanzibar Sykes' monkey, as well as two endemic antelope species, the Zanzibar leopard, blue monkeys, chameleons, mongooses, tree hyrax, bush pigs, civets, 50 different species of butterflies, and 40 species of birds.

Jozani Forest is also known as a natural pharmacy, with many of the trees and plants having medicinal properties. Your experienced guide will lead you through the network of paths and provide interesting information about the plants' uses. The tour will also take you through the mangrove habitat where you can spot fish and crabs.

This tour includes transportation from any hotel in Zanzibar, a guided private trip to Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park, a local English-speaking guide (other languages on request) and entrance fee to the park.
