Each day brings new scenery and challenges, with plenty of time to acclimate to the high altitudes. You'll camp in scenic locations, enjoy meals prepared by the support team, and receive daily health checks to monitor your progress. The final push to Uhuru Peak, at 5895 meters above sea level, will be a momentous achievement, rewarded with breathtaking views and a profound sense of accomplishment.

Itinerary:
Day 1: Londorossi Gate (2250m) – Big Tree Camp (2780m) Begin with a drive to Londorossi Gate for registration, then proceed into the dense rainforest to start your trek. A moderately steep path leads to Big Tree Camp.
Day 2: Big Tree Camp (2780m) – Shira Camp 1 (3500m) Follow a trail out of the forest into a savannah and moorland zone, crossing streams to reach Shira Ridge before descending to Shira 1 Camp.
Day 3: Shira Camp 1 (3500m) - Shira Camp 2 (3900m) A gentle walk across the plateau leads to Shira 2 Camp on moorland meadows by a stream, with various walks available for acclimatization.
Day 4: Shira Camp 2 (3900m) – Lava Tower (4640m) – Barranco Camp (3960m) Gain 700m in altitude then descend to Barranco Camp. The path leads to Lava Tower Hut before descending to Barranco Valley.
Day 5: Barranco Camp (3960m) – Karanga Camp (4035m) Start with the Barranco Wall, then follow the mountain ridge into Karanga Valley. Reach Karanga Camp with fantastic views of Kibo.
Day 6: Karanga Camp (4035m) – Barafu Camp (4640m) Hike through a desolate, rocky landscape to Barafu Camp, located on a narrow ridge with views of Mawenzi Peak. Prepare for the summit attempt.
Day 7: Barafu Camp (4640m) – Uhuru Peak (5895m) – Mweka Camp (3080m) Set off just after midnight, ascending to Stella Point and reaching Uhuru Peak at dawn. Descend to Mweka Camp for an overnight stop.
Day 8: Mweka Camp (3080m) – Mweka Gate A farewell ceremony from the porters begins the day. Descend through the forest to Mweka Gate, then return to Stella Maris Lodge for a hot shower, a cold drink, and a debrief.
