Unforgettable 1 Day Mount Meru Hiking Tour Itinerary

Welcome to Tanzania commences on an exhilarating one-day adventure to Mount Meru, the second-highest peak in Tanzania, offering breathtaking vistas and an immersive nature experience.
After an early morning breakfast in Arusha (1400m), you'll be picked up from your hotel and taken to the Momella Gate in Arusha National Park. Here, your guide will organize and pack the gear for the hike and complete the registration with Tanzania National Park (TANAPA).

Your adventure begins with an ascent in Arusha National Park, akin to a walking safari. You can expect to see wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, antelope, buffalo, and possibly elephants along the trail. Due to the likelihood of encountering wildlife, an armed ranger, hired through the National Park, will accompany your guide for the duration of the hike.

As you hike, you'll cross the Ngarenanyuki River and visit a stunning waterfall at the base of Mt. Meru. After about 4 hours, you'll reach Miriakamba, where you'll be rewarded with spectacular views of the neighboring peaks. Following this, you'll descend via the same route and return to Arusha, concluding this incredible hike.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
