Explore the Spice Farm and Stone Town on a private guided tour. Learn about the spices grown on the farm, and discover the history of Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Start with a guided walking tour to the most famous Spice Farm to discover how Zanzibar island produces a variety of spices. A farm full of organic spices like cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, types of banana and pineapple plant, black pepper, and more, resulted in the Zanzibar archipelago earning the nickname "Spices Island."

Experience the spices by touching, smelling, and testing them freshly from the plants. Visit a spice shop to see the end products handcrafted by the spices directly from the farm with a chance to purchase those of your favorite. Finally, go to taste the Zanzibar special tropical fruits like watermelon, red banana, yellow banana, pineapple, mangoes, and oranges.

Then, drive to Stone Town to begin your private guided tour. In 2000, Stone Town was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its cultural and historical richness. The town's 19th-century architecture reflects the diverse influences of Swahili culture, Arab, Indian, and European elements.

Start your Stone Town tour by exploring the Forodhani garden, a House of Wonder (currently under renovation), Arab Sultan's Palace, Old Fort, and the famous Freddie Mercury's house where he was born. Stroll through the narrow streets of the Old Town to the City Market where locals sell fresh fruits and utensils.

Observe the vibrant hustle and bustle of the fresh fish auction while learning about the history of everything you see around you. A few minutes walking away from the City Market, explore the famous Old Slave Market site and the Anglican Church inside together where you can see the slave monuments and small slave chambers in which slaves were kept starving while waiting to be sold to new owners.
