PRIVATE (Dolphins & Snorkelling):
Start your tour at around 7:00 AM with a comfortable pickup from your hotel straight to Mnemba Beach, a 45-minute drive by van. Then, board a private fiber boat to start a dolphin-watching tour with a chance to swim with them.
Move to a snorkeling area around Mnemba Reef to snorkel for a few hours while enjoying a fresh tropical fruits platter. Some species you can see while snorkelling at Mnemba Island reef include angel fish, blue spotted rays, black snappers, groupers, leaf fish, red tooth triggers, frog fish, and lots of trevallies.
When low tides, your captain will drive you to the Mnemba Island’s sandbank to relax for a while. Your captain will also take a quick dive to get you some starfish available around Mnemba Island.
Afterward, take a 15-minute boat ride back to the beach to start preparing for a seafood lunch at the beach. A drop off back to your hotel will begin after enjoying a day at Zanzibar’s Maldives.
SHARING (Snorkelling):
Start your tour at 8:30 AM with a comfortable pickup from your hotel for a few minutes drive to Nungwi Beach. In this tour, the main activity is snorkeling, with no dolphins guaranteed, only if you’re lucky enough.
Mnemba Island is famous for the diversity of fish and corals. Leave on a sharing traditional local dhow from Nungwi Beach for a 1.5-hour sail to Mnemba Island. Snorkelling equipment is provided and you will be able to spot tiger-fish, parrot-fish, and for the lucky few, dolphins.
After spending a few hours in the water, head to the beach for a local lunch and relaxation. The boat will then sail back to Nungwi Beach around 3 PM and your driver will be there to pick you up to drive you back to your hotel.

We would like to express our concern regarding the part of swimming with the Dolphins. Unfortunately, since everyone is craving for the activity, there are many boats in the area and while we have no control over them. They tend to surround the dolphins in a way that can resemble hunting which we don't support. We apologise for any discomfort caused, but since these boats are operated by other companies, we are unable to intervene.
Mnemba Island is under private ownership, no one is allowed to enter inside it without a special reservation, so going inside it is out of the itinerary.
The private tour starts early in the morning to increase the chance of seeing dolphins.
The sandbank visit is only when low tides.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
