KILIMANJARO NORTHERN CIRCUIT 7- DAYS:

DAY 1: MOSHI/ARUSHA TO LEMOSHO GATE TO MTI MKUBWA CAMP
Distance: 7km (4.3 miles)
Elevation: 2100m (6890ft) to 2650m(8690ft)
Climate and Zone: The hike begins in the dense rainforest zone. Expect warm, humid conditions with occasional rain showers. The lust environments is teeming with wildlife , including monkeys and exotic birds.

DAY 2: MTI MKUBWA CAMP TO MOIR HUT CAMP
Distance: 16km (10miles)
Elevation: 2650m (8690ft) to 4200m(13780ft)
Climate and Zone: This day transition from the rainforest into the health and moorland zone. The temperatures drops as you ascend and the landscape become more barren , doffed with unique flora like the giant lobelia

DAY 3: MOIR HUT CAMP TO BUFFALO CAMP
Distance: 12km (7.4 miles)
Elevation:4200m (13780ft) to 4020m(13190ft)
Climate and Zone: You traverse the alpine desert zone, characterized by dry rocky, terrain with sparse vegetation. The weather is cooler with strong winds and significant temperature fluctuation between day and night

DAY 4: BUFFALO CAMP TO THIRD CAVE CAMP
Distance: 8km (5 miles)
Elevation: 4020m (13190ft) to 3870m(12700ft)
Climate and Zone: Continuing in alpine desert zone the route offers stunning views of Kenya to the north. The path is relatively gentle but the high altitude can make breathing difficult.

DAY 5: THIRD CAVE CAMP TO SCHOOL HUT
Distance: 15km (9.3 miles)
Elevation: 3870m (12700ft) to4750m(15580ft)
Climate and Zone: The climb is steep and demanding moving further into the alpine desert . the barren rocky landscape is exposed to strong winds, and temperatures can be quite cold especially at night.

DAY 6: SCHOOL HUT TO UHURU PEAK TO HIGH CAMP
Distance: 15km (9.3 miles)
Elevation: 4750m (15580ft) to 5895m(19341ft) (Uhuru Peak), then descend to 3720m(12200ft) (High Camp)
Climate and Zone: This is summit day, starting before midnight. Climbers ascend through the arctic zone, where temperatures are freezing and oxygen levels are low. After reaching Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa the descent begins towards High camp.

DAY 7: HIGH CAMP TO MWEKA GATE
Distance: 10km (6.2 miles)
Elevation:3720m (12200ft) to 1640m(5380ft)
Climate and Zone: The final descent passes through the moorland and rainforest zones. The climate becomes warmer and more humid as you descend with lush vegetation and a higher likelihood of rain
