TANZANIA: 8-Day Mount Kilimanjaro Trek Lemosho Route

Embark on an 8-day trek to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. Enjoy a guided trek through the Lemosho Route, a technical route for experienced climbers. Spend the night in the Kibo crater and trek to the top of the inner crater.

Day 1: Kilimanjaro International Airport - Moshi
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and meet your driver-guide. Transfer to Moshi/Arusha town. Get a briefing from your Kilimanjaro guide and check your climbing equipment. Rent any missing gear. Stay at the Panama Garden Resort.

Day 2: Moshi - Shira Camp
Meet your guide and mountain support crew at the hotel. Travel by vehicle to Kilimanjaro National Park's western entrance. Trek to your first high-altitude camp, Shira 2. Acclimate to the altitude. Stay at Shira Camp.

Day 3: Shira Camp - Barranco Camp
Leave Shira 2 Camp and trek to the Lava Tower. Spend 1–2 hours here to acclimate to the altitude. Descend to Barranco Camp.

Day 4: Barranco Camp - Karanga Camp
Summit the Barranco Wall. Hike to Karanga Camp. Complete an acclimatization hike in the direction of Barafu Camp with a 300-meter gain in altitude.

Day 5: Karanga Camp - Barafu Camp
Trek to Barafu Summit Camp, the starting point for a night summiting Uhuru Peak. Complete an acclimatization hike towards the intermediate Kosovo Summit Camp and then back to Barafu Camp.

Day 6: Barafu Camp – Uhuru Peak – Millennium Camp
Depart from Barafu Camp at night and summit Kilimanjaro: Uhuru Peak. Return to Barafu Camp and continue your descent to Millennium Camp.

Day 7: Millennium Camp - Mweka Gate - Moshi
Wake up in a tropical rainforest. After breakfast, head for the park's exit: Mweka Gate. Receive your commemorative certificates and transfer back to the hotel.

Day 8: Moshi - Kilimanjaro Airport
After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport to connect with your flight.
