Day 1: Arusha/Moshi to Londorosi Gate to Shira One Camp
Start your journey with an early morning drive from Arusha (approximately 3 hours, 120 km) or Moshi (approximately 2 hours, 80 km) to Londorosi Gate. Upon arrival, you'll complete the necessary registration and permits before continuing your scenic drive to Morum Barrier, which takes about 1-1.5 hours. From Morum Barrier, begin your trek to Shira One Camp, a 5 km hike that typically takes 2-3 hours. Along the way, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of the Shira Plateau, characterized by its unique flora and expansive landscapes. Arrive at Shira One Camp, situated at an altitude of 3,500 meters (11,500 feet), where you'll set up camp, enjoy a warm meal, and relax. Spend the evening acclimatizing to the altitude, enjoying dinner, and preparing for the next day's adventure.

Day 2: Shira One Camp to Cathedral Point to Moshi
Wake up early to a beautiful morning on the Shira Plateau and enjoy breakfast at Shira One Camp. Begin your ascent to Cathedral Point, a 3 km hike that takes approximately 2-3 hours. Upon reaching Cathedral Point, located at an altitude of 3,870 meters (12,700 feet), you'll be rewarded with stunning panoramic views of the Shira Plateau and the surrounding landscapes. After taking in the sights, descend back to Shira One Camp, a trek of about 1-1.5 hours. Once back at camp, pack up your gear and start your return trek to Morum Barrier, which takes around 2-3 hours. From Morum Barrier, drive back to Londorosi Gate (approximately 1-1.5 hours), and then continue your journey back to Moshi (approximately 2 hours, 80 km) or Arusha (approximately 3 hours, 120 km). Arrive in the evening, marking the end of your exhilarating 2-day adventure on the Shira Plateau.
