Embark on a full-day adventure to the Lake Duluti and Mangalia Waterfall. Canoe around the lake, cycle to the waterfall, and learn about the local way of life. Enjoy a traditional banana beer and a local meal.
Start your day with a canoe trip around Lake Duluti. Learn about the flora and fauna of the lake and surrounding forest. With up to 130 different recorded bird species, Lake Duluti is a haven for birdwatchers. Common bird sightings include gray herons, fish eagles, cormorants, ospreys, egrets, and kingfishers.
On very clear days, enjoy views of Mounts Meru and Kilimanjaro. From Duluti, cycle to Mangalia Waterfall where you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the cool mountain water. Along the way, pass through coffee farms and visit a small home-brewery where they prepare “mbege,” a traditional banana beer from the Chagga ethnic group.
End your day with a taste of local food as you enjoy a late lunch.
