Description

Immerse yourself in the culture of Kilimanjaro and maximize your chances to reach summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, This trip features a safari tour & tribal village visits covered in 14 magnificent days.
Day 1 - Arrival:
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), we will meet and greet then transfer to your hotel in Moshi. The hotel will provide all the essentials for a comfortable stay. In the evening or the next day there will be a briefing with our guides, who will make sure you are ready to begin the climb.

Day 2 - Materuni village walk, coffee tour and waterfalls:
Immerse yourself in the culture of Kilimanjaro while visiting last village before Kilimanjaro national park, Exploring the village means discovering a world of tradition, history and cuisine. Enjoy a 2hrs hike to spectacular local waterfalls as preparation for your climb on the next day, followed by a traditional lunch and coffee ceremony.

Day 3 - Londorossi Gate to Forest Camp:
We depart Moshi for Londorossi Gate, which takes about 4 hours, After completing entry formalities. We will drive to the Lemosho trailhead, we eat lunch, then commence through undisturbed forest to the first camp site.

Day 4 - Forest Camp to Shira Camp 1:
We continue on the trail leading out of the forest and into a savannah of tall grasses, heather, and volcanic rocks. we reach the Shira Ridge before dropping gently down to Shira 1 camp.

Day 5 - Shira Camp 1 to Shira 2 to Moir Hut:
We explore the Shira plateau for a full day, Then we continue to Moir Hut, A variety of walks are available on Lent Hills making this an excellent acclimatization opportunity.

Day 6 - Moir Hut to Lava Tower to Barranco Camp:
Barranco Hut at an altitude of 13,000ft. Here we rest, enjoy dinner, and overnight, This day is very important for acclimatization and will help your body prepare for summit day.

Day 7 - Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp:
After breakfast, we leave Barranco and continue to Karanga Valley campsite. This is a short day meant for acclimatization.

Day 8 - Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp:
By reaching Barafu hut on this day, you have completed the South Circuit.

Day 9 - Barafu Camp to Summit to Mweka Hut:
At Uhuru Peak, you have reached the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro and the continent of Africa. Faster hikers will see the sunrise from the summit.

Day 10 - Mweka Camp to Moshi:
After breakfast, we continue the descent down to the Mweka Park Gate to receive your summit certificates. Then drive back to Moshi town.

Day 11 - Hotsprings and Maasai village visit.

Day 12 - Arusha national park

Day 13 - Tarangire national park

Day 14 - Ngorongoro crater:
Today you will be one of the very first vehicles descending the six hundred meters (2,000ft) into the Ngorongoro crater for superb game viewing.
In the afternoon we will drive back to Arusha, Moshi or drop you at the Airport for your flight to Zanzibar. Extra days to Serengeti national park can be arranged in advance.
