Day 0: Arrival in Moshi and Briefing
Arrive in Moshi, Tanzania, and transfer to your hotel. Meet your guide for a comprehensive briefing and equipment check for the 6-day Lemosho Route climb. Rest and prepare for the adventure ahead.
Day 1: Lemosho Gate to Big Tree Camp
Drive to Lemosho Gate to start your climb. After registration, hike through lush rainforest to Big Tree Camp, enjoying the natural beauty. Overnight at camp.

Distance: 6 km
Hiking Time: 3-4 hours
Habitat: Rain Forest
Day 2: Big Tree Camp to Shira 2 Camp
Ascend through moorland and heather zones, crossing the Shira Plateau. Stop at Shira 1 Camp for a break before continuing to Shira 2 Camp, below Cathedral Peak. Set up camp and acclimate.
Elevation: 9,500ft to 12,500ft

Day 3: Shira 2 Camp to Barranco Camp
Hike across the Shira Plateau, reach the Lava Tower for lunch, and then descend to Barranco Camp via the Barranco Wall. Enjoy dinner and rest amidst the natural beauty.

Day 4: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp and Barafu Camp
Climb the Barranco Wall, then traverse Karanga Valley. Reach Karanga Camp before continuing to Barafu Hut. Prepare for the summit push with dinner and rest.

Day 5: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak and Mweka Camp
Start before midnight for the final ascent to Uhuru Peak. Reach Stella Point and then Uhuru Peak for sunrise views. Descend to Mweka Camp for your final night on the mountain.
Elevation: 15,300ft to 19,345ft (and down to 10,000ft)
Distance: 5 km ascent / 12 km descent
Hiking Time: 7-8 hours ascent, 4-6 hours descent

Day 6: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate and Departure
Descend through the rainforest to Mweka Gate. Receive your summit certificate, bid farewell to your crew, and transfer back to Moshi. Celebrate your achievement before heading to Kilimanjaro Airport.

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
