Our modern production facility is located on the outskirts of the city, just 15 minutes from Zurich main station and is easily accessible by public transport. Here you can experience organic mushroom cultivation at first hand.
In a step-by-step tour, we take you through the entire mushroom cultivation process. From cultivation to harvest, you will learn everything you need to know about mushrooms. At the same time, we share our story of how a journalist and a civil engineer discovered their passion for sustainable farming. From 2025, we are also proud to be Demeter-certified!
What can you expect?
At the beginning of the tour, we will clarify important terms that will give you a solid understanding of mushroom cultivation. You will learn why the substrate must be free of mushroom competitors and gain an insight into our special maturing room, where the first growth spurt takes place. We will then visit the selection chamber. This is where the mushrooms grow under ideal conditions before they are harvested. You will also gain a brief insight into the construction of the facility and learn more about the technology behind the cultivation.
First of all: we only cultivate the Seitling, a mushroom that grows particularly well on wood and has many culinary uses.
Active experience and tasting
Our tour not only offers you valuable information, but also the opportunity to become active yourself. You can touch, smell and taste the mushrooms, the substrate and the materials. Photos are of course allowed!
If available, you can also buy fresh and dried mushrooms on site and take them home with you.

You enter the maturing chamber wearing medical gloves and a breathing mask, which we provide free of charge.
How to find us:
You can reach us via the Zielweg bus stop on line 73 in the direction of Friesenbergstrasse Schweighof. From there, walk about 100 meters down Friesenbergstrasse and you will reach the production site on the left-hand side via a path marked with a blue Züripilz banner. The guide will be visible on the square and will contact you.
Parking facilities:
Opposite the Israelite cemetery at Friesenbergstrasse 330 in 8055 Zurich, there are inexpensive parking spaces "Parkplatz am Friedhof".

Meeting point
We meet on the forecourt in front of the entrance to the production facility.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
