Stops to take photos at permitted locations, if desired.

While walking along the quays of Montreux you can admire exotic flowers, palm trees and enjoy an exceptional view of Lake Geneva with the Alps mountains in the background. Pass by the Montreux Jazz Festival Pavilion, the Fairmont Hotel (Montreux Palace), the Place du Marché, where the imposing statue of Freddie Mercury is located.

See the Place de l'Eurovision on the quay, because it was in Montreux that the first Eurovision broadcast took place on June 6, 1954. Depending on the season, you can find various kiosks on the quays, including the Christmas market.

Visit the Chillon Castle, the most visited historical monument in Switzerland. The castle was built in the thirteenth century to control the passage along Lake Geneva. It served at times as an arsenal, prison and residence of the counts of Savoy.

There are numerous visit possibilities, individual or group visits, free, guided or audio-guided. The exterior of the castle also deserves the attention of visitors who take photos of it, walking around and enjoying the view.
