Your adventure begins in Weggis to discover the iconic Mount Rigi: "Queen of mountains". Soar in an aerial cable car, then ride a historic cogwheel train - Europe's first mountain railway - to reach the summit of Rigi-Kulm at 1,797 meters above sea level. At the top, marvel at breathtaking views of 13 lakes, and immerse yourself in stunning panoramas showcasing the majestic Alps and picturesque meadows.
After taking in the alpine beauty and snapping memorable photos, you will begin your descent on the same cogwheel train back down to Vitznau. From there, board a first-class boat cruise to Lucerne - the perfect way to unwind and take in Switzerland’s legendary landscapes from a whole new perspective.
Back in Lucerne, enjoy some free time to explore the old town, where charming medieval streets will lead you to the iconic Chapel Bridge (Kappellbrücke). As the day winds down, we’ll regroup and board the bus for a comfortable ride back to Zurich after experiencing Switzerland’s natural beauty.

• If the cable car is closed, the access to the summit will be by cogwheel train only
• Visibility is not garanteed
Please check in directly with the Swisstours bus driver, we don't have an office there
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
