The tour kicks off at the beautifully preserved Heritage Park. Admire the Victorian-era buildings, each with its own story to tell, that have been saved from condemnation. Each structure offers a glimpse into the life and times of San Diego's early days. We'll also usually go to seven locations within the park, each offering a different tale of the city's past.
From there, we'll descend into the heart of Old Town. Experience the stories and secrets of the area's oldest golf course, a favorite spot of golf legends like Tiger Woods and Lorena Ochoa. Marvel at one of the city's most historic hotels, and hear the intriguing stories of its past patrons. Feel the history seeping from the old cemetery, where many of Old Town's earliest residents are buried.
The tour wouldn't be complete without visiting the house of a Cherokee newspaper magnate who founded one of the city's prominent newspapers. We'll also explore a mansion where great celebrities of yesteryears like Anna Pavlova and Enrico Caruso once performed. Along the way, your knowledgeable and passionate guide will share insights, anecdotes, and little-known facts that bring history to life.
The journey culminates with a visit to the houses of several notable early residents, including the famously haunted Whaley House. As the tour ends, you'll find yourself right in the center of Old Town, an ideal location to continue your exploration, grab a meal, or shop for unique souvenirs.

Please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour.
The meeting location for the tour at Heritage Park is at Senlis Cottage. This is a Brown and Orange Cottage and should be the first building you see when you enter the park. Please note that parking access in Heritage Park is not available, so you may need to plan accordingly. Our host will be dressed Victorian, just give them your name and you are good to go.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
