Mirissa: Udawalawe & YALA Safaris + lunch, Drop off: Ella

Start the journey from Koggala/ Mirissa/ Matara/ Talalla/ Dondra. Embark on an unforgettable adventure through two of Sri Lanka's most spectacular national parks, Udawalawe and YALA! Drop off in Ella.
After starting the journey with you from Mirissa/ Matara/ Talalla/ Dondra/ Koggala/ Ahangama/ Weligama area, we aim to be in the Udawalawe National Park in the morning. Here, you'll have the chance to witness herds of elephants roaming freely in their natural habitat, as well as mongooses, jackals, water monitor lizards, crocodiles, sloth bears and the occasional leopard.

Then we visit Elephant Transit Home in Udawalawe. and get the heart-warming opportunity to feed the adorable baby elephants.

From there, we travel to Tissamaharama, have lunch and focus on the biggest attraction of the day, YALA National Park. YALA gives you the highest chance of spotting the elusive Sri Lankan leopard, which is a leopard subspecies native to Sri Lanka. YALA boasts approximately a hundred individual leopards. With its diverse habitats, it offers endless opportunities for unforgettable wildlife encounters.

What happens on a typical day on safari?

A. Pick-up time at 5.00 a.m. - Around the Mirissa/ Matara/ Talalla/ Dondra/ Koggala/ Ahangama/ Weligama area. Pick-up times - (4.30 a.m./ 5.00 a.m./ 5.30 a.m.) Adjust the times in the itinerary accordingly.
B. Get down from the transfer vehicle (Air-conditioned Car or minivan) and get into the 4X4 safari vehicle. - at Udawalawe, around 7.00 a.m.
C. Morning wildlife safari (3 hours)
D. Break at Udawalawe (20-30 minutes, time to enjoy your picnic breakfast which we will provide you.)
E. Visit the Elephant Transit Home in Udawalawe to participate in feeding the baby elephants (at 10.30 a.m., takes about 30 minutes)
F. Travel from Udawalawe to Tissamaharama by the transfer vehicle (Travelling takes about 1 hour & 30 minutes)
G. Lunch break - the lunch will be with Sri Lankan foods which include rice, chicken curry, dhal curry, beans curry, potato, papadam etc. & fruits.
H. Afternoon 3 hours Wildlife Safari in YALA National Park (Ending at around 5.30 p.m.)
I. Get down from the safari vehicle and get in the transfer vehicle (at around 6.00 p.m.)
j. Drop-off in and around the Ella area (at around 8.00 p.m.)

Throughout your safari experience, your safety and comfort are our top priorities. So we use only the rugged 4x4 vehicles for the safaris. As an authorized company to offer safari services in YALA National Park, all of our 4X4 vehicles have the necessary approvals and all of our drivers have the special licenses to provide their service as safari drivers in the YALA National Park, which are issued by the Department of Wildlife Conservation in Sri Lanka.

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
