Visit Alu Viharay ancient cave temple; a very unique Bhuddhist temple built in nature among natural boulders in the 03rd Century BC. Visit the iconic Hindu Kovil of the goddess of Rain and Fertility.
We will pick you up from your hotel and drive to Matale Alu Vihararaya ancient cave temple. Your guide will take you on a walking tour at the temple. You will also be guided to visit the gigantic seating Buddha statue on a hill top. You'll have the opportunity to participate in rituals and hear more about the local culture while on the visit.
Then you'll proceed to visit a Herbal garden very close to the temple (Optional)
Later you'll visit Muthumari Amman Kovil in Matale. The intricate outer and inner walls of the Kovil will add color to your visit and the unique culture inside the temple will add to your local experience. (*Hindu temples in Sri Lanka are closed between 11.00 AM and 4.30 PM).
After the visits, we will drop you back at your hotel.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
