2. Nuwara Eliya: Colonial-era hill station surrounded by tea plantations

Day 1: Colombo to Kandy and Nuwara Eliya
Morning:
• Start from Colombo and drive to Kandy, the gateway to the hill country
• Visit the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya
• Brief city tour of Kandy, including a visit to the Temple of the Tooth Relic
Afternoon:
• Scenic drive to Nuwara Eliya (about 2.5 hours)
• En route, stop at a tea plantation and factory for a tour and tasting
• Visit Ramboda Falls
Evening:
• Arrive in Nuwara Eliya, known as "Little England"
• Take a stroll around Gregory Lake
• Overnight in Nuwara Eliya

Day 2: Nuwara Eliya to Ella
Morning:
• Early start for a visit to Horton Plains National Park
• Hike to World's End for breathtaking views (about 4 hours round trip)
Afternoon:
• Return to Nuwara Eliya
• Board the scenic train to Ella (one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world, about 3 hours)
Evening:
• Arrive in Ella
• Watch the sunset from Little Adam's Peak (easy hike)
• Overnight in Ella

Day 3: Ella and Departure

• Early hike to Ella Rock for panoramic views of the surrounding hills (3-4 hour round trip)
